Knitted Donations from Friends

Good friends unit to help the homeless.  Nancie D and Patty W long time friends in Texas have joined forces to knit for those in need here in Ohio through their donations to Bridge and Beyond.  Scarves, scarves, scarves.  Look at the variety of sizes and colors.  The nice solid dark colors are so perfect for our men folk, and brighter colors will work for the ladies.  My favorite might be the gray black combo in the middle of the picture.  But...do click folks to see them all.

Thank you ladies for your big hearts and for helping those in need here in Ohio.  Winter is above us here in Central Ohio with temps well below freezing of late.

Please keep up the good work, it is so very much appreciated.

**For anyone new to the blog, the counting below maybe confusing.  When 2016 began, we started with the number of items donated the previous year and are counting down in hopes of hitting and surpasses the number of items donated last year.**

Hats and Scarves for Homeless

Thank you Phyllis G for this awesome donation of scarves and hats.  Your thoughtful crocheted donation for Bridge and Beyond has pulled us even with last years mark for hats!  Woot!! WOOT!!  We've warmed more cold homeless heads from this point forward.  That's pretty exciting.  AND the scarves are making our numbers climb even higher over last years numbers.  I can't tell you all how excited I am by the blue + numbers, as last year's totals were down considerably from the previous year.

LOVE your choice of colors Phyllis.  These colors will work for women or men.  Many thanks for your caring and generous donation to help Ohio's homeless.  Please keep up the good work.

The weather has definitely turned here in Central Ohio.  We've had a handful of days with temps below freezing this past week.  Trees are bare and the skies are gray.  Ohio's winter has settled in.  Please keep your yarn hooks, and knitting needles handy and busy folks.

Thank you for all you do to help others.

Crocheting to help Others

Thank you WEndy H for this thoughtful donation of crocheted goodies.  Wendy has been a long time supporter of Bridge and Beyond and has helped many homeless here in Ohio.  She's included scarves sized for the kiddos and some cotton washcloths.  Blue and green has always been a favorite combination of mine and so the cute scarf on the right with the bright green and blue calls out to me.  Some little girl is going to be thrilled to sport this!

Many thanks Wendy and please keep up the good work.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
